This vintage snowman is a very rare, and highly sought after collectible item. The Hearts And Ivy Company, out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, were known for their handmade snowmen. For years a group of women made each of these snowmen by hand using felt. Their adorable faces were all drawn on by hand and their "carrot" noses were delicately and painstakingly glued on by hand as well. While each snowman was made with felt, feature similar body styles, and most adorn the same style hat and scarf, they all were made with their own unique motif. The Hearts And Ivy Co. stopped making these famous snowmen in 2015, making the existing figures part of limited collection that are now in even higher demand. No snowman was made exactly alike, and now that the company has stopped producing them permanently, these handmade snowmen are part of a collection of that will never again exist.
